About the Program
Wazn Program is one of the programs of the Health promotion Department in the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, under the patronage, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The program was launched in 2017, and the first phase of the program included the first health survey for Sharjah government employees, in addition to awareness and educational initiatives for employees in the Sharjah government by providing workshops, lectures, and health activities. The second phase of the program began in 2022 in a strategic partnership with the College of Health Sciences at the University of Sharjah and in cooperation with the World Health Organization, the Department of Statistics and Community Development and the Department of Human Resources, which included working on standards for institutions aimed at providing a healthy work environment for employees. The program also aims to enhance work-life balance. The program focuses on four main areas: healthy lifestyle, work environment, workplace safety and corporate culture.
